Every one that I tell about it is a bit doubtful at first. I have told each one if they are not happy with your product I would buy it from them and use it my self. One friend in VT had bears into his bee hives which were surrounded by electric wire, with Nite Guard the bears have stayed away. The key is to move the units every so often. I recommended it to a local CSA farmer, he has not taken me up on my buy back offer. They really work!

I have 9 honeybee hives at my house and live on a ridge with black bears in both valleys.  The bears have gotten into my garbage cans 600 feet from my house, but have not bothered my bees since I installed the Nite Guard Solar lights.  They must be working.  I just ordered more.

I have deployed my first order of Nite Guard units and ordered six more. I want to thank you for an absolutely outstanding product.

I was initially doubtful as to the effectiveness of your product, but nevertheless placed them about the approximately 20 acre pasture that I use for the saddle horses. Each Nite Guard unit was placed such that its beam interlocked with the beams of each other unit on its flanks, creating a solid wall of visual coverage around the entire perimeter of the pasture. Thus, any predator approaching could not avoid seeing the blinking red light, no matter the direction he came. Given the long identification range of the Nite Guard, this ensured predator coverage on the entire pasture with only four Nite Guard units. I also supplemented the electronic units with three-foot long strips of your reflective tape for day-time protection.

I set up the units in the morning, including the tape. That afternoon not a coyote, bobcat, or wolf sign could be found, and the dogs did not find scent. That night the entire area was absolutely quiet; no yapping, screaming or howling.

It has been three weeks since the Nite Guard deployment and not a single predator of any kind to be found. I am amazed and very grateful. Coyotes and wolves have been attacking the cattle herd and the home corrals for years, but not now.

Prior to buying your Nite Guard device I had struggled for years with the predator problem. Fifty years ago I could have poisoned or shot them out, but not in today’s world. Your device has worked, absolutely.

These Nite Guard Solar lights are unbelievable!  They work GREAT on coyote!

I was able to pick up four Nite Guards at a very reasonable price and have installed them on my Guinea coop near the one I won at the Guinea Fest two years ago. That first one is still working every night since I’ve installed it. But, have increased the size of the Guinea pen and figured I needed additional lights.

These Lights really stop coyotes. I am very, very, very, happy!

I would like to thank you once again for a fantastic product. It surpasses all you said it would do. In additional to putting a literal stop to the coyote and owl attacks, it also stopped the infestation of “Katrina Thieves” on my farm! Even though Hurricane Katrina is a distant memory for most people, years later I am still experiencing the looting and trespassing problems that started after Hurricane Katrina ripped through Louisiana. I even overheard some “bandits” that were caught stealing saying they wouldn’t venture onto my property because I’ve got some type of system installed there. I am very pleased at how these work! We heard coyotes every night until we put up Nite Guard Solar lights.  Now we have not heard them for months.

At last, a trick that works! I am a fancy fowl hobbyist and have had everything from owl, weasel, coyote and coons as culprits. This year I read your article in Backyard Poultry and decided to try the Nite Guard. I have not lost a single critter to predators since putting the Nite Guard in place. I highly recommend the Nite Guard. It is a great investment.

Owls and Coyotes used to rule at night. Since installing the Nite Guard lights, my birds are completely protected from these nighttime varmints. They do their job.

I lost every duck and goose on my pond to raccoons and coyotes and then re-stocked the pond and installed the Nite Guard lights. After that I did not lose a single bird.

I had 100 head of sheep on 10 acres and lost 40 lambs in one year to coyotes. I quit raising sheep for two years out of frustration until I decided to try Nite Guard on a smaller flock. I own pygora goats and we have had problems with coyotes and wild dogs. I heard about the Nite Guard lights from other goat owners. The consensus was they seemed to work, so I tried some. Since then I have not seen ANY sign or tracks anywhere nearby. So I want several more for my guinea hen pen. I believe the lights also have a secondary effect – we live back off the road in WV and the blinking lights have even stopped a couple of uninvited human visitors as well.

In May, we lost 5 lambs to coyotes in a span of a week. We have 110 ewes and have had coyote problems in the past but had not lost anything for 10 years after switching from guard dogs to a llama. When we experienced the coyote attacks again in May, I turned straight to your product I had seen in SHEEP! Magazine months prior. We are happy to report that we have not had ANY problems since we got the Nite Guards set up in our pasture, four on a post. My husband has seen fresh coyote tracks up to the edge of the pasture, but they haven’t gone any farther. The night prior to installing your product I lost 9 hens. The weeks leading up to this I lost 1-3 per night. It was like I had become the local Coyote Kentucky Fried Chicken! I tried everything from traps to haunting them hard. All to no avail. The very night I installed the original Nite Guard Solar® units my loss went to exactly ZERO. I have not lost a single bird to any predator since then. It has been so effective that I have not even heard the coyotes howling in my area for at least the last 4-6 months, which corresponds to when I installed the first of the Nite Guards. I have never had this kind of success with any environmentally friendly product. Coyotes do serve a purpose, they keep the raccoons and opossums in check and by not having to destroy them in order to protect my hens and calves, I preserve my local ecosystems balance. This is the reason for my current reorder. You have the most effective product I have ever used. I would recommend your Nite Guard without hesitation.

At first I could not believe that a small flashing light could keep coyotes away from our livestock. But with a little research and after reading some testimonials, I decided to try your product. I installed 2 Nite Guard lights on each side of the house (the main direction the coyotes usually came from). Ten days later, and not one coyote has ventured closer than 300 to 400 feet from the house.

We put two Nite Guards on our chicken coop about 2 months ago and last night, at around midnight, we witnessed how well it works.  A small group of coyotes came within about 12 feet of the coop and went no further.  They howled and ran around it, but did not approach it.  Thank goodness for Nite Guard because we love our chickens!

I used to have Llama…but now the Nite Guard Solar lights are working better than the Llamas at keeping coyote away from my sheep. And they keep skunk away, too. Nite Guard is a great product!

I have a family farm almost right in the middle of Hollywood. This is the first time in my entire life that I have not seen a coyote on our property and this farm has been in my family for 130 years! I mounted Nite Guard lights 24” off the ground and 30’ apart and it absolutely stopped coyotes from entering my chicken yard at night. I have not seen any since.

I must say for the past 4 years we have been fighting deer!  We have tried different sprays, little bags, scarecrow sprayers, and soap…this year I discovered Nite Guard Solar!  OMGosh!  Our gardens have never been sooooo beautiful!  Before Nite Guard Solar a section of my tulips were taken care of by the deer.  I purchased 4 Nite Guard’s and had such success we ordered 4 additional ones.  We have 5 gardens.  We have given Nite Guard Solar to SEVERAL of our neighbors and friends and told them it was definitely worth the money invested!  Thank You!

I use the Nite Guard lights to protect my garden against deer and raccoon. As long as I have the lights in place I have no problems. If I take them down, the deer and raccoons return. They work!

I wanted to let you know that this was the first time in 4-5 years that I was able to enjoy my home-grown sweet corn! In years past, the deer would devour it, but not after installing the 4 lights this summer. I also used the Repellent Tape above my blackberry patch and within 1 hour, all the nuisance birds were gone! Now that my garden is done for the year, I plan to use the lights for security purposes.

I am writing to let you know how impressed I am with your product. I must admit I was highly skeptical about purchasing your product. Every summer we grow about a half acre of garden and one of our favorite crops are peas. After trying many ways to keep our deer away without building a ten foot high fence around the entire garden, we would plant many extra peas in order for us to get some of the crop. The deer loved these peas so much that we could actually see where they would lay down and eat during the night.

After installing NiteGuard using your instructions, my wife and I were amazed at having no sign of deer. I was able to find deer tracks that were heading toward the peas and actually saw how the deer turned away from the lights. We do move the lights about every five days.

The only problem we have now is the fact that we were able to harvest all the peas we planted and are trying to figure out what to do with the share the deer didn’t get. Because of your product we will be able to plant less next year, saving us money and a lot of hard work!

I have some Nite Guard Solar lights up to repel the deer that were eating all the new growth off my new fruit trees, and it has worked!

I am a landscaper, and have a client who has a deer and rabbit problem beyond anything I’ve ever experienced, plants eaten as if they have been run over with a lawn mower, shrubs defoliated as if they’ve been in a nuclear war! We have been using Nite Guards for years to protect our rabbit enclosures. They work great!

I received 4 of these last week and quickly installed. The foxes that were running through the pasture grabbing chickens as they ran have stopped. I have just purchased another set and spoke with our local wildlife officer. Tomorrow I will give him copies of the installation instructions I received with my order, and he will begin to suggest this product as a much better deterrent then we currently have, (at least one that works!). I’m getting ready to order more lights. I know they work and I have not been able to say that any dead rabbits that I’ve found since I put up the lights have been from a predator kill.

Just wanted to say what a great product you have!  We raise turkeys and broiler chickens and were losing birds every night.  My husband tried staying up all night to get the fox(es) but was not very successful.  We bought some Nite Guard Solar lights and haven’t lost a bird since.  We haven’t seen a fox since then either.  I’ve told EVERYONE about them and plan to buy more next spring.  Great product and very easy and convenient.  I mounted the units on temporary fence posts so that they can be easily moved when we move the turkey fence, which we do often.  Thanks again!

I would love to order more lights. It has been two years now that I haven’t lost one single Muscovy duck! Ever since I installed the Night Guard Solar lights, the great horned owl that once desecrated these ducks was gone for good.

I have an area in my pens where I keep my rabbits where I knew I didn’t have any coverage by the Nite Guards. After putting my other lights up, the only place in my pens where I experienced an owl kill was in that area that wasn’t being protected by a Nite Guard.

Because of owls, the mother purple martins would not stay with their babies at night. Nite Guard took care of that. No more owls.

The Nite Guard is a must for Purple Martin landlords. After repeated owl attacks, installing owl guards to no avail, we installed the Nite Guard as a last resort and resolve the owl problem. We have had great success, with 100% effectiveness against the owls, and have removed the old owl guards. I wish we had known about the Nite Guards from the start.

After 10 days of Owls attacking other rabbits, squirrels, etc. in my yard and leaving remnants on my pool cage, I was ready to try anything! I found this site and ordered 4 Nite Guards, hoping it would work. I am so happy to say that from the day of placing these on 4 locations facing different directions… NO MORE OWLS! I have waited to see if they would return before writing this review… as of now, 2 weeks later, no problem. They are water resistant and are bright and flashing. Thank You!

You name it, I tried it. Nothing worked for my owl problem.  I lost one or more chickens every night. I ordered your Nite Guard solar lights and hung the lights at 8 feet on my hoop houses because it was simple. The owls were still coming and a couple months later I RE-READ the instructions and mounted them AS WAS STATED IN THE INSTRUCTIONS instead of the way I found easiest. I mounted the lights on 2×2 poles, twelve feet high, and in all four directions for 360 degree coverage. Then BOOM, on August 15^th of 2005 my predator problem stopped. I have NEVER again had a problem. Done. Finished. It was incredible. I have been a faithful repeat customer ever since.

We first heard about Nite Guard back in 2004 from an online chat group about guineas. We have been using the product now for over 6 years for owls! We have more than 100 free-ranging guineas that roost in our barnyard trees at night. These lights have virtually halted (99% I’d say) the nightly owl attacks since we began using them. We just ordered more to replace some that have stopped working. We are VERY satisfied with the original Nite Guard Solar®!

I purchased Nite Guard lights in 2003 to protect my purple martin houses against owls. I have not had one single owl kill in all this time. Now that they have quit working (after four years), the owls moved back in and are killing my martins and their young every night. Please send me 8 more units next day air – I can’t go another night without this protection.

These Nite Guards really, really work. They have shut down all of my owl and raccoon problems on my chickens. I’m ordering more today.

I live in NW Arkansas and have purple martin colony consisting of 7-12 compartment aluminum houses. Last year I had 73 nesting pairs, and raised over 300 young. I have had problems with owls attacking the martins for the 12 years we have lived here. I have installed owl guards on all the houses. It keeps them from getting the young out of the nest, but I still had owls sitting on top of the houses that would grab the adults when they came out of the nest early in the morning. I have tried everything including lighting up the area, turning on a radio all night, but nothing worked. I saw your ad in the Nature Society News, and ordered 4 of the Nite Guards as suggested for owl. I put them up the same day I received them and after figuring out the best height for my colony (I did reposition the height 3 times)… I’ve been using my Nite Guards to protect my purple martins by mounting them 8-12 inches above the purple martin house. The results have been tremendous! They definitely work! Now I am able to get some sleep at night. Thanks so much for a fine product.

I have been using Nite Guard for years to protect my chickens against owls, but I have found out they will stop all night animals mentioned in your ads. This is a great product.

Having had problems with owls & raccoons, I decided to check out Nite Guard anti-predator lights. The principle of how they deter night predators seemed sound and the lady on the phone at Nite Guard gave me very helpful advice on locating and installing them. So I ordered a whole bunch. I had little doubt they would keep those pests away. My big concern was whether they would work all night on limited charging. Up here in Canada the winter days are short & often sunless for days at a time & the nights are long just when you really need them to work.

Well, I installed my Nite-Guards, some up high for the flying predators & some just above the ground for raccoons. They worked like a charm from day one & have never let me down. They come on well before dark & continue flashing for a while after sunrise, covering the entire danger period. I am blown away how they work night after night, with absolute minimum of daytime light to recharge.

I have had no problems with predators since installing my Nite Guards. To anyone with night predators, I would definitely suggest getting Nite Guards. They really do work.

I just bought 4 more Nite Guard Solar® lights to stop my owl kills. I have found them to be very effective in stopping owls.

Please send me four more Nite Guard units. I could not raise a rabbit in an enclosure before using these lights to protect them against owls and ground predators. They really work-thank you for a GREAT product.

Before I had Nite Guards I was losing geese, especially young goslings, to owls and other night predators. After installing Nite Guards on my property I have not lost a single bird. It’s incredible. I absolutely believe in this product.

I have used your lights since 1999 and have not had one raccoon problem since. I gave one of the lights to my neighbor to use and he has not had any problems either. The original lights are still working. I highly recommend your product.

I have a small pond in my yard with goldfish that grew from feeder fish to 10 inch beauties over the course of nine years. Young have been born and the pond was a delight until raccoons discovered it three years ago. The plants were trashed, water muddied, filters destroyed, and the raccoons provided the ultimate insult of bringing the fish up on the deck and consuming them in one of the chairs there. I live on the outskirts of a small town in Iowa and had two summers of hell with raccoons on my back deck and gazebo that sit less than twenty feet from a corn field. I grow 4 acres of sweet corn and always had trouble with raccoons. I used poison and live traps which weren’t 100% effective. Plus, you had to dispose of the carcasses. Since using Nite Guard, I have had no raccoon problems!

My backyard seems to be raccoon alley. I have seen at least 20+ in the years that I have lived here. In fact my dog goes crazy on a regular basis at 1-3 a.m. because of the raccoons, skunks, and opossums that come through my yard. I live within 50 yards of a large open area. I use the Nite Guard lights to protect my garden against deer and raccoon. As long as I have the lights in place I have no problems. If I take them down, the deer and raccoons return. They work!

As a member of our local ‘Friends of Feral Cats’ group I put out food every night for the stray cats.  I have had to bring the food dish inside every night though because the raccoon and skunk would eat it.  I have tried everything on the market to stop them…sprays and other repellents.  Nothing has worked until I found the Nite Guard Solar lights.  I can leave the food outside now without worrying about those pests coming around to eat it.

I purchased these lights in the spring, after the first time my dogs got sprayed by a skunk this year. I am happy to report, that is the last time my dogs got sprayed. I used to have Llama…but now the Nite Guard Solar lights are working better than the Llamas at keeping coyote away from my sheep. And they keep skunk away, too. Nite Guard is a great product!

We have many 6x6s out now, each with 3 Nite Guards and a lot of individual Nite Guards on posts all over the property. We use 6×6 treated lumber. These are cut at 24″ high. I add numbers to the top of each piece so we can keep track of their location on our 65 acres. We add eye bolts on two sides, so we can anchor the 6×6 with rope and tent stakes to the ground. We are very proud of our Nite Guards that help us night after night.

I am now using the reflective tape in the fields. Bought it to hang inside the barn to keep birds out…Got to thinking of more uses for it…It is working great at our creeks or anywhere we hang it…Great.

I have deployed my first order of Nite Guard units and ordered six more. I want to thank you for an absolutely outstanding product.

I was initially doubtful as to the effectiveness of your product, but nevertheless placed them about the approximately 20 acre pasture that I use for the saddle horses. Each Nite Guard unit was placed such that its beam interlocked with the beams of each other unit on its flanks, creating a solid wall of visual coverage around the entire perimeter of the pasture. Thus, any predator approaching could not avoid seeing the blinking red light, no matter the direction he came. Given the long identification range of the Nite Guard, this ensured predator coverage on the entire pasture with only four Nite Guard units. I also supplemented the electronic units with three-foot long strips of your reflective tape for day-time protection.

I set up the units in the morning, including the tape. That afternoon not a coyote, bobcat, or wolf sign could be found, and the dogs did not find scent. That night the entire area was absolutely quiet; no yapping, screaming or howling.

It has been three weeks since the Nite Guard deployment and not a single predator of any kind to be found. I am amazed and very grateful. Coyotes and wolves have been attacking the cattle herd and the home corrals for years, but not now.
